CREEP // A SHORT FILM
CREEP // A SHORT FILM BY JAY RID
WITH THE DIRECTOR:
LINEUPOKC: Tell us a bit about the film and your creative process. You're exploring such an interesting scenario– how did you come up with that?
JAY RID: “This film is about bad decisions basically. I came up with this scenario one night when I seen a guy get into a car with a woman he just met after the club. I instantly thought up the funniest and most awkward scenario possible.
I wrote out an outline and sent it to my production team partner who writes and produces On The Scene–Nicole Jocleen. She casted the actors and found a location. Also, Bre Black helped me shoot it.”
LINEUPOKC: OKC need's these types of collaborative and creative projects! It come together nicely–especially in the car scenes. Can you tell us about that?
JAY RID: “If you notice, there was no real script they were following. I just told them the premise scene by scene and they took it from there. The entire car scene was improvised. I set up a gopro, put a boom mic between them and told them to drive around the block.”
LINEUPOKC: Lastly, what is your background? And will OKC be seeing more of this?
"I'm a self-taught videographer. I started in 2010 knowing absolutely nothing about videography. I earned my reputation with music videos (www.videohero.tv). I then moved to wedding videography (www.everafterweddingvideo.com) and now film (onthesceneokc.com)."
"Film is what I love most. Expect more films coming soon...”
